BOOMERANG! Affiliate Program

If you are reading this, chances are you and your audience is simpatico with BOOMERANG! (boomkids.com). It feels good to be able to tell friends, fans and followers about a product you like. It may feel even better to get a chunk of the revenue you generate by sending new customers our way.

BOOMERANG! has been around since 1990. In that period we have built up a massive library of content plus kudos from the country’s most influential media. But a marketing powerhouse we are not. Our aim is to never again hear “Wow this stuff is awesome. I can’t believe I’ve never heard about you.” We are launching this associate program to tap your extended outreach.

Here’s how it works:

You review BOOMERANG! on your blog, or in your online newsletter or E-Zine. Then you choose one of 5 BOOMERANG! link buttons to post on your site, or run regularly alongside your blog or newsletter.

When one of your readers checks out BOOMERANG! via this link, they are automatically assigned a tracking ID that stays attached to their machine for 30 days. If they make a purchase of digital products from our website within that period, you will receive an email informing you of the purchase. Once a month, associates accruing a minimum of $10 in commissions will receive a check for 20% of the revenue generated by these purchases.

Almost half of our customers order either a download bundle ($49.95), or a monthly download subscription with recurring billing. Subscription orders sourced to your medium will earn you 20% for the length of their subscription (usually 2-3 years). So you can see how your cut begins to add up.

And what are you doing to earn all this? Plugging an innovative children’s medium, which the Executive Director of Action for Children's Television described as “A fantastic feast for the curious mind”… a medium containing no advertising that has won the ALA Notable Recording, The Parent’s Choice Award and the Educational Press Association Award for Excellence in News Reporting.

The Associate Program applies to all BOOMERANG! Digital products

As digital delivery offers more choice, less environmental impact, and less expense, only BOOMERANG! products ordered in digital form are covered in the affiliate program. The good news? The swell of momentum is cascading in the direction of digital delivery. These products include digital versions of individual episodes (Retail: $8.95); Download Bundles of 9 (Retail: $49.95); Monthly Download Subscriptions (Retail: $7.95 monthly).

YOU be the Tipping Point

Other bloggers or websites may be part of the BOOMERANG! Associate program. So what happens if a new BOOMERANG! customer visits another affiliate site first, but actually orders later through your portal? Only your associate ID will be credited.

Your Tracking ID sticks for 30 days

How about if a new customer browses the BOOMERANG! site through a link on your medium, then signs off, and orders later directly from the BOOMERANG! site? You STILL get 20% -- as long as it is within 30 days of clicking the link on your site.

Here are the steps to get your BOOMERANG! affiliate program rolling:

Sign up. Send us an email: boomkids@sbcglobal.net to let us know you would like to participate. We’ll send you out a signed agreement.

Write a review. We will send you download codes good for 3 free episodes. Of course the content of your review is all up to you.

Choose a link button. You will have 5 to choose from. Alternate them if you want to add different looks to your site.

Automatic notification. We have 3rd party software (Modular Merchant) installed on our site that assigns a tracking code to new BOOMERANG! customers who visit us via your medium. When they order digital products from our site within 30 days, the Modular Merchant Associate Module automatically sends you an email with details of the transaction.
